About the Role
Amazon Traffic Engineering is hiring a Software Development Engineer in Hyderabad. You'll build the foundational infrastructure that accepts, filters, and routes all web traffic from the public Internet to Amazon's websites and services.
What you'll do
- You will build and operate Amazon's traffic management infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain high-availability systems processing millions of requests per minute
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve system alerts in production environments
- Design and implement tools and automation workflows for autonomous operations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on feature enhancements and deployments
- Participate in on-call rotations to monitor system health and respond to incidents
- Write code optimizing traffic flow through distributed network
- Build end-to-end workflows moving toward more autonomous systems
What we're looking for
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 3+ years of design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) experience
- Knowledge of Machine Learning and LLM fundamentals including transformer architecture
- Experience programming with C/C++, Python, Java, or Perl
