About the Role
Amazon Fulfillment Technology (AFT) is hiring a Software Development Engineer in Bengaluru. You'll build large-scale, fault-tolerant distributed systems that optimize customer order fulfillment — interfacing with conveyors, robots, and thousands of associates in fulfillment centers worldwide.
What you'll do
- You will design and deliver fulfillment center software worldwide.
- Design, develop, and support large-scale, multi-tiered software applications and tools
- Engage multiple teams on distributed systems optimizing order fulfillment
- Create and deliver software and automated solutions for fulfillment centers worldwide
- Write Amazon-quality code in object-oriented languages — preferably C/C++/Java
- Apply excellent problem solving and computer science fundamentals
- Adapt quickly to a fast-paced development environment
- Influence subsystem design and build team culture around quality practices
What we're looking for
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- Sound understanding of Algorithms, Data Structures, Object Oriented Design, and Databases
