About the Role
Amazon's Alexa Audio team is hiring a Software Development Engineer in Chennai to build the Voice OS for Entertainment. You'll own audio experiences on Alexa-enabled devices — Music, Podcasts, Audiobooks, Radio, and Ambient soundscapes enjoyed by millions daily.
What you'll do
- You will design and deliver Alexa Audio features at scale.
- Design and implement software in ambiguous and complex Alexa Audio problem spaces
- Create infrastructure bringing LLMs into the Audio space
- Build tools to evaluate, analyze, and improve model accuracy for Audio experiences
- Influence operational excellence roadmap for core audio services
- Provide design and coding feedback on latency, standards, and quality
- Mentor junior team members and participate in interviews and hiring
- Work with product managers, TPMs, and senior/principal engineers on business goals
What we're looking for
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
