About the Role
LSEG is hiring a Senior ML Engineer for the Corporate Engineering AI team in London to design and build MCP servers, Skills, and agentic AI capabilities powering LSEG AI Assist and the Internal MCP Gateway.
The role enables enterprise-scale agentic AI with QAS RAG layer, governance, and federated MCP contribution patterns.
What you'll do
- Design and build MCP servers and tools exposing enterprise systems and workflows to AI agents
- Implement Skills orchestrating tools, data, and reasoning into repeatable governed workflows
- Contribute to LSEG AI Assist agentic harness including planning, tool-calling, orchestration logic
- Build secure API wrappers where backend systems lack suitable authentication models
- Work with product teams in "build for" capacity transferring knowledge and patterns
- Shape developer experience for MCP and Skills including templates and standards
- Collaborate with Quality Engineers and SREs on quality, governance, operational readiness
What we're looking for
- Strong Python development experience
- Hands-on experience with LLM and agent frameworks and agentic reasoning patterns
- Practical understanding of Model Context Protocol (MCP) including server and tool patterns
- FastAPI and REST API design and implementation
