About the Role
Smartsheet is hiring a Senior Machine Learning Operations Engineer in Bangalore to architect the machine learning production lifecycle, maintaining and deploying models at scale while bridging Data Scientists and Software Engineers.
This role owns CI/CD for ML, model monitoring, drift detection, governance, and cross-functional collaboration as Smartsheet unites human teams with AI agents.
What you'll do
- Architect and maintain the machine learning production lifecycle for Smartsheet's AI initiatives.
- Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for ML model packaging, testing, and deployment
- Implementing model versioning, lineage tracking, and governance compliance
- Continuously monitoring model health, drift, staleness, and performance degradation
- Incorporating user feedback for iterative improvements and retraining cycles
- Bridging Data Scientists who build models and Software Engineers who consume them
- Partnering with software engineers, product managers, and business functions
- Deploying and scaling ML models using vendor and custom-built solutions
- Documenting MLOps processes and technical standards
What we're looking for
- 5+ years experience creating, deploying, and scaling ML models and data pipelines
- 7+ years programming in AI/ML languages (Python, Scala, etc.) preferred
- 4+ years developing deep learning and traditional ML models
- Experience with Kubernetes, containerization, and cloud ML deployment
