About the Role
Recrew AI is recruiting a Senior Machine Learning Engineer in Bengaluru for a Bengaluru-based enterprise tech startup building paperless digital solutions for financial inclusion across India.
This role designs, builds, and deploys production-grade ML systems for document understanding, fraud detection, and identity verification serving 100 million+ users and 1,500+ enterprises with RBI and SEBI compliance.
What you'll do
- Design, build, and deploy production-grade ML systems for document understanding, fraud detection, and identity verification.
- Designing, building, training, and deploying ML and Deep Learning models for production
- Developing ML/AI solutions for document understanding, face analysis, forgery detection, and visual reasoning
- Building and integrating LLM/VLM/GenAI solutions for extraction, reasoning, and decision support
- Owning the complete ML lifecycle from data analysis to deployment and monitoring
- Writing clean, efficient, and testable Python code for ML pipelines and services
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ship scalable ML systems
- Optimizing model performance, reliability, latency, and cost in production environments
- Mentoring junior engineers and establishing ML engineering best practices
What we're looking for
- 4–10 years of hands-on Python experience for ML, DL, and GenAI development
- Strong fundamentals in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, linear algebra, and optimization
- Experience with both PyTorch and TensorFlow for deep learning model development
- Practical Computer Vision experience with OpenCV and PIL for image processing
Skills & Technologies
Required
4–10 years of hands-on Python experience for ML, DL, and GenAI development
Strong fundamentals in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, linear algebra, and optimization
Experience with both PyTorch and TensorFlow for deep learning model development
Practical Computer Vision experience with OpenCV and PIL for image processing
Hands-on experience with OCR engines and document processing pipelines
Experience with LLMs and GenAI systems including prompting and fine-tuning
Proven track record taking ML models from development to production
Experience in fintech, compliance, fraud detection, or identity verification preferred
