The role focuses on search relevance, NLP, Generative AI, and personalization models to improve product search experiences using data, advanced analytics, and AI.

What you'll do
- Develop and deploy ML models for search relevance and ranking
- Optimize search pipelines using multiple signal types
- Build NLP-driven query understanding, intent detection, and query rewriting
- Apply Generative AI, LLM fine-tuning, prompt engineering, and RAG for search
- Work with BM25, semantic retrieval, and vector search methods
- Develop behavioral models from user signals and clickstream data
- Build contextual intent and personalization models
- Analyze search logs to identify relevance gaps and opportunities
- Define and track search KPIs (CTR, zero-result searches, relevance metrics)
- Design and execute A/B tests for model improvements
- Build feature engineering, labeling, and model pipelines
- Deploy and monitor models using MLOps and cloud platforms
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and data science peers
What we're looking for
- 5+ years in applied data science, machine learning, or related field
- Strong experience deploying ML models for search, recommendation, or relevance systems
- Python with NumPy, pandas, SciPy, and data science libraries
- Machine learning: ranking, clustering, regression, neural networks
