About the Role
Travel technology is undergoing an agentic revolution, and Sabre is at the forefront as an AI-native technology leader backed by one of the world's largest travel data clouds. Sabre is hiring a Senior Data Science Engineer to join its Data Intelligence & Research team in Bengaluru.
This role blends classical mathematical optimization with cutting-edge Machine Learning, Generative AI, and robust MLOps to power the next generation of travel distribution—from search and booking to airport operations.
What you'll do
- Architect, code, and deploy complex software solutions integrating advanced mathematical algorithms and ML models
- Drive research and innovation with AI-driven automation for Travel Management Companies
- Design end-to-end AI systems with LLM integration for customer intent recognition and conversational commerce
- Solve high-impact organizational challenges including GDS workflow optimization and legacy migration to GCP-based AI
- Establish strategic AI lifecycle policies and MLOps standards for high-fidelity model performance
- Promote engineering excellence using Python, golang or C++ for production-quality systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional leadership to align technical roadmaps with business goals
- Influence stakeholder decision-making advocating for Agentic AI adoption
- Mentor and develop junior data scientists and engineers
What we're looking for
- Minimum 4 years of experience in Data Science, AI Engineering, or Operations Research
- Advanced Degree (Masters/PhD preferred) in Mathematics, Machine Learning, Statistics, Computer Science, or Physics
- Proven experience in Agile Software Development moving complex models to global production
- Expertise in Deep Learning, Reinforcement Learning, and NLP
Skills & Technologies
Required
Minimum 4 years of experience in Data Science, AI Engineering, or Operations Research
Advanced Degree (Masters/PhD preferred) in Mathematics, Machine Learning, Statistics, Computer Science, or Physics
Proven experience in Agile Software Development moving complex models to global production
Expertise in Deep Learning, Reinforcement Learning, and NLP
High-performance programming in Python, golang or C++
Superior analytical skills processing high-volume, real-time GDS, OTA, and airline data
Deep knowledge of GCP (Vertex AI, BigQuery), MLOps tools, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
Proficiency in Generative AI frameworks and RAG-based systems
