About the Role
Optum is hiring a Senior AIML Engineer in Hyderabad to lead applied research in LLMs, generative AI, and multimodal models while deploying production ML solutions for healthcare.
The role combines research leadership with engineering implementation across NLP, NLU, computer vision, and ASR.
What you'll do
- Lead applied research in LLMs, generative AI, and multimodal models
- Evaluate architectures including Transformers, Diffusion Models, RAG
- Publish internal whitepapers and contribute to external conferences
- Design and implement production AI/ML deployment software
- Deploy NLP, NLU, CV, deep learning, and ASR technologies
- Apply experimental methodologies, statistics, and machine learning in code
- Collaborate on agentic AI agent design with modular scalable frameworks
What we're looking for
- Graduate degree in Computer Science or similar fields
- 8+ years hands-on AI/ML with solid NLP and Language Models focus
- 8+ years with OpenAI API, Hugging Face Transformers, or similar LLM tools
- Experience with agentic frameworks and modular scalable AI agent design
