About the Role
Optum India is hiring a Senior AI/ML Engineer to drive responsible AI/ML adoption, build AI-powered software solutions for the provider community, and provide technical leadership for Chatbots and conversational AI initiatives.
This senior role combines software engineering excellence with Generative AI and traditional ML at healthcare scale.
What you'll do
- Drive responsible AI/ML adoption across Generative AI and traditional ML techniques
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and continuously improve AI-powered software solutions
- Build responsible AI solutions for the Provider community
- Develop features leveraging GenAI models, predictive analytics, and automation
- Provide technical leadership for Chatbots and conversational AI solutions
- Partner with product management and engineering leadership on scalable AI solutions
- Mentor team members on AI/ML frameworks and responsible AI practices
- Integrate AI into cloud modernization efforts
- Design and deploy AI solutions using no-code, low-code, and advanced platforms
What we're looking for
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
- 9+ years of software engineering experience
- 4+ years hands-on building AI/ML solutions including LLMs, GenAI, and traditional ML
- 4+ years Web and API development experience
