About the Role
AI-first product companies are building conversational AI, speech technologies, and large-scale AI-powered user experiences. YAL is hiring a Senior AI Engineer in Hyderabad to design, build, optimise, and deploy machine learning and generative AI systems across its product ecosystem.
What you'll do
- Design and develop machine learning, deep learning, and generative AI solutions
- Build systems involving NLP, LLMs, conversational AI, recommendations, search, and retrieval
- Fine-tune, adapt, and evaluate foundation models
- Develop RAG, agentic workflows, and tool-using AI systems
- Build data preprocessing, feature engineering, training, evaluation, and inference pipelines
- Convert prototypes into scalable production-grade AI services
- Deploy and manage AI workloads across cloud and containerised environments
- Define evaluation frameworks and conduct offline/online evaluations including A/B testing
- Contribute to AI platform architecture and write clean, testable production code
- Mentor junior AI engineers and collaborate with product teams on high-impact AI opportunities
What we're looking for
- 5+ years in machine learning, AI, applied research, data science, or AI engineering
- Strong proficiency in Python and modern software engineering practices
- Strong understanding of ML, deep learning, probability, statistics, and model evaluation
- Hands-on experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX, or Hugging Face Transformers
Skills & Technologies
Required
5+ years in machine learning, AI, applied research, data science, or AI engineering
Strong proficiency in Python and modern software engineering practices
Strong understanding of ML, deep learning, probability, statistics, and model evaluation
Hands-on experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX, or Hugging Face Transformers
Experience building and deploying production-grade AI or ML systems
Experience with LLMs, transformers, embeddings, vector databases, and RAG
Strong understanding of APIs, microservices, distributed systems, and cloud-native architectures
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, experiment tracking, and model monitoring
