About the Role
UPS is hiring a Senior AI Engineer to design, develop, and deploy cutting-edge AI systems leveraging LLMs, RAG, and agentic AI architectures. This role involves hands-on development with LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, Vertex AI on GCP, and IBM WatsonX.

What you'll do
- Design, build, and deploy agentic AI systems using LangChain, LangGraph, and related libraries
- Develop multi-agent systems capable of autonomous decision-making, reasoning, planning, and collaboration
- Implement and optimize retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems
- Fine-tune and prompt-engineer LLMs for task-specific reasoning, planning, and dynamic adaptation
- Lead enterprise-grade AI platform development integrating LLMs, RAG, embeddings, and agentic protocols
- Implement and standardize Model Context Protocol (MCP) for context management
- Establish MLOps, monitoring, and observability best practices
- Rapidly prototype, experiment, and iterate on AI agent capabilities
- Participate in the full research cycle: literature review, experimentation, and presentation
- Collaborate with engineers, researchers, and data scientists
- Contribute to documentation and standardization of technical practices
What we're looking for
- 5+ years relevant experience (Senior level)
- 1+ year developing AI applications with LLMs, retrieval-based methods, fine-tuning, or agent architectures
- 1+ year with LangChain, LlamaIndex, OpenAI, or similar tools
- Strong Python and SQL skills
