About the Role
RemoFirst is building production-grade conversational AI systems that power its global HR platform—enabling companies to hire, manage compliance, payroll, and benefits worldwide. The company is hiring a Senior AI Engineer to design, evaluate, test, and deploy AI applications at scale in a 100% remote role.
This is a high-impact position reporting to the Lead AI Engineer, with direct influence on revenue, customer support, and market differentiation.
What you'll do
- Design, develop, and maintain production-grade conversational AI systems
- Own AI features from technical design through deployment and production support
- Design scalable AI architectures and agent workflows
- Build and maintain AI evaluation frameworks, benchmarks, and automated testing pipelines
- Continuously improve AI quality through experimentation and data-driven optimization
- Integrate multiple AI providers and select best models for different use cases
- Monitor production AI systems and improve reliability, quality, and performance
- Collaborate with product, frontend, and backend teams on end-to-end AI features
- Review technical designs and contribute to engineering best practices
- Troubleshoot complex AI and production issues
- Stay current with Generative AI advancements and apply them for business value
What we're looking for
- 5+ years building AI-powered applications in production
- Experience with conversational AI systems including voice and/or chat
- Experience building AI evaluation frameworks, automated testing, benchmarking, and regression testing
- Experience integrating AI providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini
