About the Role
Industrial AI is transforming how manufacturers and energy companies monitor assets, detect anomalies, and automate predictive maintenance. SymphonyAI, a global leader in enterprise AI solutions, is hiring a Principal AI/ML Engineer in Bengaluru to lead the design and delivery of production-grade machine learning and physics-informed analytics for industrial customers.
What you'll do
- Architect and build ML and physics-model-based analytics for anomaly detection, root-cause analysis, and predictive maintenance
- Lead design of agentic AI workflows combining domain knowledge with data-driven models
- Own DataOps pipelines for high-volume industrial sensor and time-series data (vibration, acoustic, SCADA)
- Apply signal processing techniques for health-monitoring models on rotating and industrial equipment
- Develop and productionize ML models including computer vision for quality inspection
- Design and scale Python analytics applications using Flask, Dash, Bokeh, or Plotly
- Drive model deployment and MLOps across cloud and on-prem GPU infrastructure
- Mentor engineers and act as technical authority across cross-functional project teams
- Partner with product and customer teams to translate industrial requirements into AI features
- Represent technical roadmap to internal leadership and key customers
What we're looking for
- Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering (Mechanical, Structural, Electrical, or related); advanced degree preferred
- 12+ years in analytics/ML engineering with data-driven and physics/first-principles modeling
- Deep experience in industrial R&D: asset health monitoring, diagnostics, prognostics, or additive manufacturing
- Strong hands-on Python programming with production-grade software engineering practices
Skills & Technologies
Required
Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering (Mechanical, Structural, Electrical, or related); advanced degree preferred
12+ years in analytics/ML engineering with data-driven and physics/first-principles modeling
Deep experience in industrial R&D: asset health monitoring, diagnostics, prognostics, or additive manufacturing
Strong hands-on Python programming with production-grade software engineering practices
Proven experience applying ML to industrial datasets — signal/vibration, image, or process sensor data
Experience building and deploying models on cloud or GPU infrastructure (GCP, DGX)
Exposure to Generative AI, Agentic AI frameworks, and contextual/industrial AI platforms
Experience building real-world RAG-based systems with frontier LLMs or fine-tuned open-source models
