About the Role
Standard Chartered is hiring an ML Engineer in Bangalore as Squad Lead of the AI ML Delivery team to design, build, and deploy machine learning models and GenAI solutions for the bank's AI/ML Centre of Excellence.
This role leads end-to-end ML delivery from data preparation through model deployment while embedding Responsible AI practices across the organization.
What you'll do
- Lead ML delivery squads and deliver production-grade machine learning solutions.
- Leading the AI ML Delivery squad for end-to-end model lifecycle management
- Designing and building ML models and GenAI solutions for business problems
- Leading data preparation, feature engineering, and model training activities
- Implementing Responsible AI practices and model governance frameworks
- Deploying and monitoring models in production environments
- Collaborating with data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders
- Driving model performance optimization and drift detection
- Contributing to AI/ML Centre of Excellence initiatives and best practices
- Ensuring compliance with banking regulations and model risk requirements
What we're looking for
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field
- 8–12 years relevant hands-on experience in ML engineering and delivery
- Strong Python programming with TensorFlow and PyTorch expertise
- End-to-end ML model development and deployment experience
