About the Role
Citi is hiring a Lead Data Scientist – Gen AI in Bengaluru to shape and deliver complex, platform-centric AI solutions across design, development, and deployment. This hands-on builder role requires substantial experience building robust, scalable GenAI products with a product-oriented mindset.
You will leverage Generative AI, agentic AI, RAG, and advanced prompt engineering to deliver cutting-edge AI capabilities in a global banking environment.
What you'll do
- Build robust, scalable, cutting-edge GenAI products across design, development, deployment
- Optimize Generative AI and agentic AI solutions for production
- Deliver end-to-end projects using RAG, agentic AI, or prompt engineering frameworks
- Apply AI governance and evaluation including LangFuse
- Solve complex problems with product-oriented approach
- Partner with cross-functional leaders in matrix environment
- Build scalable AI platform capabilities for enterprise use
What we're looking for
- 4-6 years Data Science experience
- Hands-on Generative AI and agentic AI solution building and optimization
- At least one end-to-end project with RAG, agentic AI, or LangChain/Google ADK
- Exposure to AI governance and evaluation (LangFuse or similar)
