About the Role
Protolabs is hiring an IC4 ML Engineer for the AI Center of Excellence in Hyderabad to build and own ML/DL systems end-to-end for digital manufacturing workflows including manufacturability analysis and predictive maintenance.
The role ships production ML on AWS Bedrock-based AI Platform for live manufacturing environments.
What you'll do
- Apply ML/AI solutions with business needs and system constraints awareness
- Build ML/DL models across complex manufacturing data types
- Own ML/DL subsystems and features end-to-end
- Contribute NLP pipelines for technical drawings and unstructured specs
- Tackle complex ML problems: data issues, model choices, experiments
- Mentor junior peers on code, testing, and ML practices
- Contribute to feature-level design discussions
What we're looking for
- Relevant degree in computer science, simulation science, or equivalent
- 3–5 years designing, training, deploying ML/DL models in production
- PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, XGBoost experience
- Strong Python: clean modular code, data pipelines, model versioning, CI/CD for ML
