About the Role
Boston Consulting Group (BCG) is hiring a Global AI/ML Engineer Manager to join an existing development team building and shipping LLM-powered features in a complex, production application used at scale. This hands-on, full-stack role spans backend services, APIs, and LLM systems including retrieval, agents, and evaluation.
You are expected to work as an agentic engineer—using AI coding tools and autonomous agents to write code, automate workflows, and optimize delivery—while collaborating with global teams across time zones.
What you'll do
- Bring senior-level Python and LLM engineering expertise to the team
- Execute planning and hands-on technical work independently
- Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders on complex problems
- Work cross-functionally to deliver impactful solutions
- Continuously develop technical expertise and stay current with technologies
- Use data-driven approach to solve technical challenges
- Apply systems-level thinking integrating data science and engineering
- Take full ownership of features and projects with high-quality delivery
What we're looking for
- 2+ years developing and experimenting with LLMs
- 8+ years developing APIs with Python
- Daily use of AI-assisted and agentic coding tools
- Strong Python with FastAPI for REST APIs
