About the Role
Infosys is hiring a Generative AI professional in Bangalore for the Data & Analytics Unit. The role partners with client stakeholders to translate business goals into AI/ML and Generative AI use cases while building production-ready Python components for GenAI workflows.
You will develop ML pipelines, conduct model experimentation, and deliver end-to-end AI solutions in a consulting environment.
What you'll do
- Solution Delivery & Consulting
- Partner with client stakeholders to understand business goals and define AI/ML and GenAI use cases
- Contribute to solution design, effort estimation, and delivery planning
- Communicate findings, trade-offs, and recommendations through documentation and presentations
- Generative AI Development
- Build Python-based prototypes and production-ready GenAI workflow components
- Develop and refine prompts, templates, and guardrails
- Implement evaluation approaches measuring output quality and hallucination checks
- AI/ML Engineering
- Develop and maintain ML pipelines in Python for data preparation, training, inference, and monitoring
- Perform model experimentation, feature engineering, and performance tuning
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI services into applications
What we're looking for
- 3–5 years professional experience delivering Python-based solutions including AI/ML or GenAI
- Hands-on Generative AI implementation: prompt engineering, evaluation, iterative improvement
- Working knowledge of AI/ML fundamentals: supervised/unsupervised learning, model validation, metrics
- Strong Python programming with clean coding, testing, and debugging
Skills & Technologies
Required
3–5 years professional experience delivering Python-based solutions including AI/ML or GenAI
Hands-on Generative AI implementation: prompt engineering, evaluation, iterative improvement
Working knowledge of AI/ML fundamentals: supervised/unsupervised learning, model validation, metrics
Strong Python programming with clean coding, testing, and debugging
Bachelor's degree in engineering, computers, or AI
Preferred: client-facing consulting, RAG, embeddings, vector search, MLOps, Databricks
Good to have: RAG, Embeddings, Vector Databases, Prompt Engineering, MLOps
Education: BE, BTech, BSc, BCA, MTech, MCA, MSc
