Generative AI is reshaping enterprise consulting and technology delivery, and Deloitte's AI & Engineering practice is at the forefront. Deloitte USI is hiring a Gen AI-AI and Data Science Engineer III to lead technical architecture, solution development, and team guidance across large-scale AI and Gen AI projects.
This role combines deep hands-on expertise in LLMs, RAG, Agentic workflows, and transformer architectures with client-facing collaboration across multiple industries and domains.
What you'll do
- As a Gen AI-AI and Data Science Engineer III on the AI & Data team, you will drive technical delivery and team leadership.
- Lead discussions with business and functional analysts to understand requirements and assess integration impacts
- Prepare technical architecture and design, clarify requirements, and resolve ambiguities
- Develop solutions in line with established technical designs, integration standards, and quality processes
- Create and enforce technical design and development guides, templates, and standards
- Facilitate daily scrum meetings, manage deliverables, and prepare weekly status reports
- Conduct detailed deliverable reviews and provide technical guidance to team members
- Collaborate with onsite clients, coordinators, analysts, and cross-functional teams
- Design templates or scripts to automate routine development or operational tasks
- Brainstorm, build and improve AI/Gen AI models and identify scope for improvements
- Assist in pre-sales, client pursuits and proposals
What we're looking for
- 6-10 years of relevant hands-on experience in Generative AI, Deep Learning, or NLP
- Strong hands-on experience with Python, Cuda and SQL, and frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch and Keras
- Hands-on experience with LLM models like OpenAI GPT-3.5/4, Google Gemini, AWS Bedrock, LLaMA 3.0, and Mistral
- Experience with RAG and Agentic workflows
Skills & Technologies
Required
6-10 years of relevant hands-on experience in Generative AI, Deep Learning, or NLP
Strong hands-on experience with Python, Cuda and SQL, and frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch and Keras
Hands-on experience with LLM models like OpenAI GPT-3.5/4, Google Gemini, AWS Bedrock, LLaMA 3.0, and Mistral
Experience with RAG and Agentic workflows
Well versed with GANs and Transformer architecture; knowledge of Diffusion models
Knowledge of hyperscaler offerings (NVIDIA, AWS, Azure, GCP, Oracle) and Gen AI tools (Copilot, Vertex AI)
BE/B.Tech/M.C.A./M.Sc degree or equivalent from accredited university
