About the Role
BNP Paribas Fortis Tribe Artificial Intelligence delivers efficient banking experiences for customers and empowers employees through AI. The tribe of approximately 90 experts—including Data Scientists, ML Engineers, Business Analysts, and Product Owners—develops virtual assistants, employee efficiency tools, and automation for internal processes. BNP Paribas is hiring a Data Scientist in Mumbai with minimum 3 years developing AI applications including generative and predictive AI.
What you'll do
- Make better use of data through collection, labeling, curation, structuring, and feature engineering
- Apply analytical methods to answer business questions and improve models
- Support deployment of AI applications to production using CI/CD, AirFlow, MLFlow, and related tools
- Establish effective model monitoring including tracking historical input and target data for drift
- Help automate the modeling pipeline
- Apply classical machine learning and generative AI with code-and-data-centric improvement
What we're looking for
- At least 3 years in data science, preferably in financial sector (strong academics considered for less experience)
- Strong hands-on SQL, Pandas, Hadoop/Spark, and web scraping for data preparation
- Broad analytical methods in classical ML and generative AI
- Extensive Python programming for production AI deployment
