About the Role
Amazon Customer and Partner Trust (CPT) safeguards every financial transaction across Amazon sites. The Demand Planning and Workforce Intelligence (DPWI) team is hiring a Data Scientist to model complex problems, discover insights, and drive operational efficiencies through statistical, machine learning, and data mining techniques.
What you'll do
- Use machine learning to forecast SPS investigations for long and short term capacity planning
- Employ algorithms to discover patterns of risks and abuse
- Design experiments and build actionable models to optimize CPT operations
- Build predictive models to forecast risks for product launches and operations
- Draw inferences, create dashboards, and identify trends and anomalies
- Work closely with internal stakeholders across business and engineering teams
What we're looking for
- 2+ years data scientist experience
- 3+ years SQL, Python, or statistical software (R, SAS, Matlab)
- 3+ years machine learning/statistical modeling experience
- Experience applying theoretical models in applied environments
