About the Role

As fintech and healthtech converge with AI, Alegeus is hiring a Data Scientist I in Bangalore to deliver AI-powered product features and integrate intelligent automation into healthcare workflows.
What you'll do
- Deliver AI-powered product features collaborating with product domain and foundational AI teams
- Design and develop APIs and integration layers connecting AI capabilities with healthcare workflows
- Leverage reusable AI services such as OpenAI-based extractors and chat tools
- Write production-quality software using C#.NET, JavaScript, and REST/SOAP APIs
- Follow best practices in code quality, testing, deployment, and documentation
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Managers, Architects, and Data Scientists
- Actively participate in sprints, planning sessions, retrospectives, and demos
What we're looking for
- Strong programming in C#.NET and JavaScript (React or Angular preferred)
- Proficiency building and consuming RESTful and SOAP APIs
- Familiarity with AI/ML: LLMs, prompt engineering, service orchestration
- 3+ years professional software engineering in enterprise or SaaS environments
