About the Role
Alexa Connections builds intelligent communication experiences across calling, messaging, and email for millions of Alexa customers. Amazon is hiring a Data Scientist in Chennai to lead end-to-end development of ML and data science solutions powering prioritization, intent detection, and proactive action recommendations.
What you'll do
- Partner with cross-functional teams to translate business problems into production-ready ML solutions
- Own full model lifecycle: exploratory analysis, design, deployment, monitoring, improvement
- Define success metrics and conduct rigorous analyses for product decisions
- Build data-driven business cases to prioritize science initiatives
- Develop ML-powered systems supporting key business areas
- Lead research on customer interactions with Alexa
- Contribute to science community through mentoring and technical publications
What we're looking for
- 2+ years data scientist experience
- 3+ years SQL, Python, or statistical software experience
- 3+ years ML/statistical modeling experience
- 1+ years creating mathematical textbooks, research papers, or educational content
