About the Role
eBay is hiring a Data Scientist - AI & Automation for the Finance Innovation & Transformation (FIT) team, designing and deploying advanced AI, machine learning, and automation solutions for complex Finance use cases.
This hands-on role builds production-grade models, intelligent agents, web apps, and decision-support tools.
What you'll do
- Partner with Finance stakeholders to translate business problems into scalable technical designs
- Design, build, and deploy production-grade AI, ML, and automation solutions
- Develop intelligent agents, web apps, automation workflows, and decision-support tools
- Build and maintain robust data pipelines and reusable solution components
- Evaluate emerging AI technologies and apply where appropriate
- Monitor, refine, and scale deployed solutions for performance and reliability
- Collaborate across Finance, Product, Engineering, ITSS for successful delivery
What we're looking for
- 4+ years designing and delivering AI, ML, and intelligent automation in enterprise environments
- Strong Python and SQL with modern AI/ML frameworks
- End-to-end solution delivery from design through deployment and optimization
- Experience building scalable applications, automation, or decision-support tools
