About the Role
Finance organizations are transforming through AI, automation, and intelligent agents. eBay is hiring a Data Scientist - AI & Automation in Bengaluru for the Finance Innovation & Transformation (FIT) team to build production-grade AI and automation solutions.
What you'll do
- Partner with Finance stakeholders to translate business problems into scalable technical designs
- Design, build, and deploy production-grade AI, ML, and automation solutions using Python, SQL, and modern frameworks
- Develop intelligent agents, web apps, automation workflows, and decision-support tools
- Build and maintain robust data pipelines and reusable solution components
- Evaluate emerging AI technologies and apply leading solutions for measurable business value
- Monitor, refine, and scale deployed solutions for performance and reliability
What we're looking for
- 4+ years designing and delivering AI, ML, and intelligent automation solutions in enterprise environments
- Strong programming proficiency in Python and SQL with modern AI/ML frameworks
- Proven experience building end-to-end solutions from design through deployment and optimization
- Experience handling big data (Hadoop, Teradata); Google BigQuery experience is a plus
Skills & Technologies
Required
4+ years designing and delivering AI, ML, and intelligent automation solutions in enterprise environments
Strong programming proficiency in Python and SQL with modern AI/ML frameworks
Proven experience building end-to-end solutions from design through deployment and optimization
Experience handling big data (Hadoop, Teradata); Google BigQuery experience is a plus
