Actalent is hiring a Clinical AI / Machine Learning Engineer in Bangalore to design, build, and deploy advanced AI systems for clinical use cases.
What you'll do
- Design, build, and maintain production-grade AI and machine learning systems for clinical use cases
- Develop and deploy autonomous AI agent systems operating on real-world clinical data with tool usage and self-correction
- Integrate at least two large language models into production software environments
- Implement fine-tuning workflows including LoRA, QLoRA, PEFT, instruction tuning, and domain adaptation
- Design and manage LLM evaluation pipelines with benchmark design and continuous performance monitoring
- Architect and implement multi-agent systems using orchestrator–worker patterns and self-correcting agent pipelines
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate clinical and business requirements into AI specifications
- Ensure robustness, reliability, and safety of AI systems in production through monitoring and iterative improvement
- Document system architectures, design decisions, and operational procedures
- Contribute to continuous improvement of AI engineering practices, tools, and frameworks
What we're looking for
- At least 8 years of hands-on AI/ML engineering experience building, deploying, and maintaining production AI systems
- Proven experience delivering at least one autonomous AI agent system operating on real data with tools and self-correction
- Demonstrated experience integrating at least two LLMs (Gemini, GPT-4, Llama, Mistral, or equivalent) into production software
- Strong expertise in fine-tuning: LoRA, QLoRA, PEFT, instruction tuning, domain adaptation
Skills & Technologies
Required
At least 8 years of hands-on AI/ML engineering experience building, deploying, and maintaining production AI systems
Proven experience delivering at least one autonomous AI agent system operating on real data with tools and self-correction
Demonstrated experience integrating at least two LLMs (Gemini, GPT-4, Llama, Mistral, or equivalent) into production software
Strong expertise in fine-tuning: LoRA, QLoRA, PEFT, instruction tuning, domain adaptation
Experience designing LLM evaluation pipelines and benchmarks
Hands-on experience architecting multi-agent systems with orchestrator–worker patterns and tool-calling loops
Solid software engineering skills for AI/ML production deployment, monitoring, and maintenance
Background in clinical AI or healthcare-related AI/ML applications
