About the Role
Property claims operations generate hundreds of structured data points per claim — and the companies that build models on this data first will transform the industry. Cozmo AI (YC-backed) is hiring an Applied ML Engineer in Bengaluru to build the claims data platform and ship the first estimation models to production.
What you'll do
- Build the claims data platform: ingestion, schema design, feature pipelines, storage, and orchestration
- Ship estimation models to production and iterate against live claim outcomes
- Design labeling and evaluation strategy where labels are negotiated numbers
- Wire model outputs into agents running live claims with the forward deployed team
- Build tooling for training pipelines, experiment tracking, serving, and monitoring
- Extend into scope prediction from field photos and call transcripts
- Handle messy reports, schema drift, and multi-format carrier responses as core engineering challenges
What we're looking for
- 2–6 years shipping ML systems to production with pipeline experience
- Excellent data engineering: Python, SQL, dbt or Spark or equivalent
- Pipelines that survive schema drift and malformed real-world exports
- Strong applied ML on tabular and structured data (gradient boosting expertise)
