About the Role
Recrew AI is recruiting an AI Software Engineer in Gurugram for a medical AI SaaS company building an all-in-one platform for U.S. dental practices serving 1,500+ practices across North America.
This hands-on role owns end-to-end development of a multi-channel AI Receptionist (voice, SMS, web chat) with production Python services, LLM conversation flows, and HIPAA-compliant integrations with dental practice management systems.
What you'll do
- Own end-to-end development of the company's AI Receptionist—a multi-channel conversational AI for dental practices.
- Building and maintaining backend services and RESTful APIs in Python (FastAPI or Django)
- Designing schema and efficient PostgreSQL queries with Redis-based caching and session state
- Developing LLM-driven conversation flows with tool calling and multi-turn state management
- Building guardrails for patient-facing interactions to prevent medical advice or unverified data disclosure
- Implementing async and event-driven patterns: queues, webhooks, WebSockets, and background workers
- Integrating with dental practice management systems and internal APIs
- Implementing OTP-based patient verification and HIPAA-compliant auth flows
- Owning logging, metrics, alerting, and debugging production issues
- Writing and refining prompts and evaluating LLM system performance in production
- Collaborating with Product and US stakeholders on sprint planning, code reviews, and documentation
