About the Role
John Cockerill is hiring an AI Product Manager (Energy) in Mumbai to own the AI product life cycle end-to-end across Cooling, Energy Solutions, and Energy Transition business lines. John Cockerill is a global engineering group founded in 1817 delivering large-scale technological equipment across energy, defense, and industry.
This role requires 9–12+ years in product management including at least 2 years in AI/ML, data, or digital product management.
What you'll do
- You will own AI product strategy, delivery, governance, adoption, and value realization across Energy business lines.
- Own vision, roadmap, and prioritized backlog for assigned AI products across three business lines
- Translate business priorities into product increments balancing value, effort, risk, and data readiness
- Identify, qualify, and business-case AI opportunities: proposal intelligence, engineering QA, contract intelligence, schedule risk, knowledge management, predictive maintenance
- Define target KPIs, benefits baselines, and ROI per product; track realized value
- Act as accountable Product Owner in Multi-Agent AI Governance framework
- Steer sprints with Applied AI engineers; enforce architecture-review and production-readiness gates
- Ensure EU AI Act documentation and Group AI-policy compliance
- Drive user adoption, champion networks, and training; monitor WAU/MAU and satisfaction
- Own product-level budget and integrate FinOps discipline into product life cycle
- Serve as single point of contact between stakeholders, Applied AI CoE, Group ICT, and external partners
What we're looking for
- Bachelor's / Master's in engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Business, or related field
- 9–12+ years in product management / product ownership including 2+ years in AI/ML or digital product management
- Proven ownership of AI/ML/GenAI or agentic products from concept to production with measurable ROI
- Experience in industrial, energy, EPC, engineering, or capital-goods environments
Skills & Technologies
Required
Bachelor's / Master's in engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Business, or related field
9–12+ years in product management / product ownership including 2+ years in AI/ML or digital product management
Proven ownership of AI/ML/GenAI or agentic products from concept to production with measurable ROI
Experience in industrial, energy, EPC, engineering, or capital-goods environments
Agile / Scrum product ownership, backlog management, use-case qualification, value/ROI modelling
GenAI and Agentic concepts: RAG, multi-agent orchestration, hooks/guardrails
Microsoft Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry, M365 / Power Platform
EU AI Act, GDPR, architecture-review gates, FinOps / cost monitoring
