About the Role
Enterprise document platforms are increasingly powered by AI search and retrieval-augmented generation, and engineers who can build secure, scalable RAG systems on Azure are in strong demand. Synechron is hiring an AI ML Engineer in Pune to build enterprise AI search and retrieval solutions using Azure AI Search and Azure OpenAI.
What you'll do
- Build secure AI search and retrieval for large-scale enterprise document repositories
- Design RAG systems grounding LLM responses in enterprise data sources
- Configure Azure AI Search indexes for unstructured documents with hybrid search
- Implement semantic ranking, relevance tuning, and generative Q&A with Azure OpenAI
- Design prompts that constrain responses to source documents and support citations
- Build APIs and services orchestrating search, retrieval, and LLM calls
- Implement document-level access control and metadata-driven filtering
- Measure and improve retrieval relevance, answer accuracy, and latency
- Integrate AI search into internal enterprise applications
- Mentor engineers in AI search and retrieval patterns
What we're looking for
- Strong proficiency in Python
- Hands-on experience with LLMs and prompt engineering
- Expertise in Azure OpenAI SDKs, APIs, and deployment strategies
- Knowledge of agentic systems and Model Context Protocol (MCP)
