About the Role
Sanmina (Viking) is hiring an AI/Machine Learning Engineer 2 in Chennai to develop the ML/AI tool suite for Kubernetes-based storage and cloud management solutions with edge-based ML applications and generative AI on internal GPUs.
This role reports to the Senior Director of Software Engineering and works on Jupyter, TensorFlow, and ML/AI applications within Viking's open-platform storage infrastructure for cloud, on-premise, and hybrid deployments.
What you'll do
- Develop the ML/AI tool suite and customer-facing ML/AI applications for edge and storage platforms.
- Developing the ML/AI tool suite under Senior Director of Software Engineering
- Hands-on development: articulating problems, planning, prioritizing, and resolving technical issues
- Working with customers to create ML/AI applications for specific markets and industries
- Building edge-based solutions for large-scale data transformation at the edge
- Developing robust software architectures with the engineering team
- Sharing responsibility for group engineering objectives
- Following Agile practices for source control, build, EVT, and troubleshooting
- Applying good software architectural principles for each product
- Working with Chief Storage Architect to achieve product vision
- Contributing to innovation by tracking ML/AI market technologies
What we're looking for
- 4-year degree in AI/ML
- 2–5 years of experience
- Skilled with ML/AI tools: TensorFlow, PyTorch, Triton, etc.
- Linux OS CLI proficiency
