About the Role
MSCI is hiring AI Engineers at Associate and Senior Associate levels in Mumbai (Hybrid) to support the firm's AI adoption journey across machine learning, NLP, GenAI, LLMs, and agentic AI systems.
Join a central team building data-centric and AI-driven applications for ESG, Index, Analytics, and Real Estate verticals.
What you'll do
- Design, develop, and maintain data science and AI-driven applications
- Implement ML, NLP, and GenAI solutions from experimentation to production
- Build LLM-powered RAG, summarization, classification, and reasoning capabilities
- Develop solutions using LangChain, LangGraph, and agentic AI frameworks
- Integrate AI services with MSCI platforms and APIs
- Collaborate with Product Management, QA, Data Operations, and IT Infrastructure
- Ensure solutions meet scalability, performance, and maintainability standards
- Implement AI governance controls for transparency, auditability, and responsible AI
What we're looking for
- Hands-on experience building and operationalizing AI/ML, NLP, GenAI, and LLM solutions
- Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, and agentic AI frameworks
- Prompt engineering, orchestration, evaluation, and monitoring best practices
- Structured and unstructured data processing, embeddings, and vector retrieval
Skills & Technologies
Required
Hands-on experience building and operationalizing AI/ML, NLP, GenAI, and LLM solutions
Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, and agentic AI frameworks
Prompt engineering, orchestration, evaluation, and monitoring best practices
Structured and unstructured data processing, embeddings, and vector retrieval
Software engineering best practices — TDD, code reviews, clean system design
CI/CD and DevOps for AI system deployment and monitoring
Understanding of AI governance, security, and responsible AI standards
